Born in Mexico City and raised in Dallas, Texas, Karen Barrett brings a unique cultural perspective and extensive real estate experience to every client she serves. After relocating to East Texas in 2015, she quickly fell in love with the community and is proud to call it home.
Karen began her real estate career in 1998 as an office manager at Tricor Commercial in Dallas, where she recognized a growing need for representation within the Hispanic market. Motivated to better serve her community, she earned her real estate license in 2000 and joined Henry S. Miller Commercial's International Division. There, she played an important role in leasing for La Gran Plaza in Fort Worth, a landmark redevelopment project designed to better serve the Hispanic community.
In 2023, Karen joined the Real Estate Marketing family, bringing more than two decades of industry knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to buyers and sellers throughout East Texas. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is passionate about helping clients navigate the buying and selling process with confidence, clear communication, and personalized service.
Outside of real estate, Karen is deeply involved in her faith and community. She leads a Spanish-speaking group through Bible Study Fellowship and is an active member of Hope Fellowship Church in Longview. Karen and her husband, John, are proud parents of seven children: Nissah, Christian, William, Jonah, Annah, David, and Isaac.
